Privacy & Security Statement

General Guidelines

Since Colleges United Soccer Club operates as a non-profit organisation, we do not have any obligations under the Australian Government Privacy Act (21 st Dec 2001). However, we do believe in following the guidelines, and so include this explanation of how we handle the information you supply to us at registration time and information which may be collected by this website.

Information on registration forms is recorded by the Brisbane Southern Districts Junior Soccer Association (BSDJSA) and may be distributed to third parties (QSF, insurance companies, etc). We maintain a database of all members and the information supplied on their forms. Team listings including player and parent names, addresses, phone numbers, and medical information are distributed to team managers, and this may be shared within the team. Player names and/or photos may appear on our website and newsletter (unless you request otherwise), but only management committee members contact details will be published. No information will be shared with sponsors or other organisations without your knowledge and consent.

Colleges United Soccer Club is committed to protecting user privacy. We understand and appreciate that visitors and users of this website are concerned about their privacy and confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us.

Cookies

As of early 2004 we do not use "cookies", though some of our web pages may use them in the future. Cookies are text files we place in your computer's browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves do not tell us your email address or other personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide this information to us.

When you visit our sites, a record of your visit may be kept along with logs of the following information for statistical purposes only -

  • The users server address,
  • The users top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, etc.)
  • The date and time you visited this site,
  • The pages accessed and documents downloaded,

No attempt is, or will be, made to identify users or their browsing activities.

Email Correspondence

This website belongs to a non-profit organisation. Email correspondence sent to this site will be treated as a public record and may be retained as part of club records.

Your name and address details will not be added to a mailing list, nor will we disclose these details to third parties without your consent unless required by law. Email is used for communication with Team Officials to keep them informed of club activities, but they may opt out of this at any time.

Access To Your Personal Information

You can ask whether we are keeping personal information about you by writing to or emailing us. You may also wish to apply to amend the information if you believe it to be incomplete, inaccurate, irrelevant, out of date or misleading.
