Cricket club junior sign-on
The Mount Crosby Sharks Cricket Club junior sign-on is at the soccer grounds on Saturday 23 August from 9am to 1pm. Junior games start on 11 October 2008. For more information call the Sharks club registrar Lucinda van de Werken on 0408078626.

Heritage Building Society sponsors FBI
Football Brisbane has announced a new sponsorship program with the Heritage Building Society. Football Brisbane General Manager, Rod Cousins, said the organisation was delighted to have Heritage on board, particularly given the potential benefit to clubs.

“The basis of this new relationship is to assist our clubs. We can see clubs achieving tangible outcomes from the rebate program, and we hope that the clubs will see this potential and embrace the opportunity,” Mr Cousins said.“The program provides a direct financial reward, to a club, if a club member takes out a loan or a credit card with Heritage Building Society.

End of season presentation day for u6 - u10 Saturday 30 August 2008
Saturday 30 August is the date for the annual presentation and fun day for all kids from under 6 to under 10. It starts at 10am and goes to 2pm. We will have the exciting QLD Roar Rapid Fire inflatable field at the grounds and for the first time we will have a tricks competition for those players who think they are good with a soccer ball. There will be two cash prizes, one for a SSG player from either u6, 7 or 8 and one for a Rooballer from either u9 or 10. Each winner will also receive a certificate of their achievement. The rules are here. Start practicing your tricks now.

This day is also the last day that team officials must return:

1. Jersey bags and everything in them signed for at the start of the season
2. Red Rooster training gear kits with all original gear minus destroyed or lost items

Those teams that need jerseys for QLD Roar half time games can borrow a jersey bag on the day of the event.
