Thank you to all teams who participated in the 2006 Under 7 & Under 9 carnival. A couple of late withdrawals in the final couple of days saw some heart pulpitations for our carnival organiser, but the day turned out to provide perfect weather for soccer, and a great day was had by all who attended.
The Under 7 semi finals saw Colleges Anteaters play Beenleigh Monaro's and Moggill United White play Western Spirit Foxes, with Colleges Anteaters and Moggill United White going through to the grand final. Congratulations to the winners, Colleges United Anteaters, and to the runners up, Moggill United White.
In the Under 9 semi finals Peninsula Arsenal played Annerley Dingoes, and Qld Lions Crystal Palace played Moggill United Arsenal. Peninsula Arsenal and Moggill United Arsenal went through to the grand final, following an extended semi final between Peninsula Arsenal and Annerley Dingoes when scores were tied at end of normal time. Congratulations to the winners of the grand final, Moggill United Arsenal, and to the runners-up, Peninsula Arsenal.

Carnival Rules
All team managers must complete a Team Sheet listing all players, and hand in to the Carnival Officials at the registration tent prior to their team taking the field.
Each team will be allowed one manager and one coach. To comply with our club risk management policy, only those people and players will be allowed inside the spectator lines when their team is playing.
Each team will be required to have player ID cards with them in case of any concerns with player eligibility.
Referees will be provided by participant teams and Colleges United. All finals games referees will be provided by Colleges United. Referee’s decisions will be final.
The maximum number of players per team shall be nine (9) for Under 7/8 teams and twelve (12) for Under 9/10 teams.
For an even number of teams there will be two sections of a maximum of six (6) teams per section (Group A and Group B). For an odd number of teams there will be one combined pool with a random draw.
The Carnival will be conducted as a Round Robin event with all teams playing a maximum of five (5) games in the preliminary rounds.
The scoring in the preliminary rounds will be three (3) points for a win, one (1) point for a draw, and zero (0) points for a loss.
In the event of a bye, each team will receive three (3) points, but no goals.
Each game will consist of two ten-minute halves, with teams immediately changing ends at half time. The official timekeeper’s siren will indicate the start and stop of each half, and this time is binding on all games.
There will be no extra time in the preliminary rounds.
The two teams from each group with the most points will play off in the Semi-Finals, with the first team in Group A playing the second team in Group B, and the first team in Group B playing the second team in Group A. For an odd number of teams playing in a single pool, 1st position will play 4th and 2nd will play 3rd.
In the event of two teams having equal points at the end of the preliminary rounds, the team with the bigger goal difference will be the winner. If the goal difference is equal, the team with more goals scored will be the winner. If the goals scored are equal, positions will be determined by the result of the earlier match between those two teams. If the match between the two teams was a draw (or did not occur due to an odd number of teams in a single pool), then final positions will be decided by the toss of a coin.
Corners will be counted in Semi-Finals and the Final.
The winning team in each Semi-Final will play off in the Final.
In the event of scores being tied in the Semi-Finals, an extra five (5) minutes will be played each way. The first team to score a goal in extra time will be the winner. If the scores are still tied at the end of extra time, the team with the most corners won will be declared the winner. If scores are tied and corners are tied at the end of extra time, the winner will be the team who won their group.
In the event of scores being tied in the Grand-Final, an extra five (5) minutes will be played each way. The first team to score a goal in extra time will be the winner. If the scores are still tied at the end of extra time, the team with the most corners won will be declared the winner. If scores are tied and corners are tied at the end of extra time, then joint winners will be declared, and new trophies will be issued to one of the teams within two weeks.
All playing rules shall be BSDJSA Rooball Rules as applicable to the age group.
There will be trophies for the winners and runners up plus ribbons for all players.
